What a seasonal Thanksgiving’s treat. Steve Martin and John Candy go through travel hell in this holiday classic. The story unfolds revealing interesting character traits throughout that leave you second guessing each character’s motive. It is a hilarious sequence of events that crescendos believably from regular to outright absurd. Sensational. Will watch again.

The Witch captures a section in history with a lot of truth. Puritanical opening scene, pilgrim hats, it’s a lot of fun. The historical dialogue, accents and set did a lot of world building in no time at all. Before you know it, you think you’re a pilgrim yourself, learning about what it’s like fighting out on the wild frontier. There are a lot of great moments and performances in this movie.
