Well it wasn’t boring. But that’s the best I can say about this film. Thought the film had two major issues. 1. The poor casting of Napoleon and 2. the unfocused script. I simply found the way Napoleon was presented was as a charism-challenged individual. Someone who amazed me at his ability to rouse his troops at all. It looked fine and the costumes were amazing. But the score was totally forgettable and I simply didn’t care for either main character. Better to watch 1970’s superior (in every way) WATERLOO.

The Big Snit 1985
Astoundingly wonderful animated short. Funny, poignant and in its short length covers everything from personal relationships to nuclear armageddon. In the end it's our relationships and love for each other that truly matters. It'll make you laugh and cry at the same time.

Trick Baby 1972
Just watched this at the New Bev. I'd never heard of it before, but was immediately won over by a great story, tight direction, stunning photography (all on location) and great acting. It was a solid example of a buddy movie from the early 70s. Highly recommended.

Exorcist II: The Heretic 1977
Don’t think of this as a sequel. Boorman didn’t. Instead think of this as a crazy Italian/European satanic/horror film (it’s easy to do, particularly with the amazing Morricone score). If you do just that you’ll appreciate it as the classic it truly is. From the fantastic stage bound African sets to the amazing photography and committed performances, particularly Burton’s, it’s a uniquely sumptuous affair.
