i love the questions this movie poses. i hate organized religion. over thousands of years, it is responsible for the deaths of millions of people. as someone that was raised in a very religious family, and then went on to study sacred music and catholicism in college, i’ve seen for a while how any organized religion works as a system of power and control. the underlying philosophy and its delivery system (an excellent hugh grant) is tantalizing and eery.
