The Book of Eli 2010
Denzel Washington's acting makes the twist completely unpredictable, even when you watch it the second time. I thought his lack of commitment to the character ruined the twist, almost as if the script writers just threw it in at the end thinking 'yeah that'll throw them! Make it a bit more interesting'. The film is a nice, slow paced film that does show post-apocalyptic struggles and the different sides it would bring out in people.Nice, but I really just cannot get it out of my head that the twist is so out of the blue. It just annoyed me.

This was a terrible film, a Tim Burton's style Twilight. It was a story that started out okay and just gradually got worse, it was extremely cheesy and one of those films where the characters were unrealistically non-challont about the way Johnny Depp behaves. He talks about bursting into flames at the touch of silver because of "a metal allergy"?! and speaks old English cos he's British. Nice one Tim, way to be original.

Beautiful imagery, the whole way through, great use of lighting and colours to warn to viewer of what's to come, shows and emotional struggle and tensions for the family but gives hope to any sufferers that justice is always served even if not in the way we always hope. a lovely film.
