The best horror film I’ve watched in the last two years. Normal, everyday spaces in this film feel liminal, despite being populated by people. Characters talk to each other in often dream-like fashion, almost detached from themselves. The plot has the same vibe as a Thomas Harris novel, bolstered by the lead actress, Maika Monroe. I love a good detective mystery, and this one is way up there for me.

Carnival of Souls 1962
I am convinced that the only people who like this are cork sniffers. The movie is 90 percent bland, ham-fisted dialogue from characters I do not connect to whatsoever and 10 percent great imagery. Thank the lord that it’s only 78 minutes.

This was the gayest shit I’ve ever seen, but like, in a positive way.

I don’t care if a mysterious, relentless, invisible monster will be unleashed on me, just let me hit please.
