  Absolutely nightmarish. One of the scariest films I’ve seen in a while and it’s not even intended to be a horror film. It perfectly portrays the fear of marriage, parenthood, and becoming part of the cycle in such a terrifying way. I felt so incredibly bad for the baby but so scared of it at the same time.   David Lynch was brilliant at always showing you something unlike anything you’d seen before, and making you feel deeply unsettled even though his work was not intended to be horror. A lot of his work can only be experienced and not really explained. I think his short films like this are the blueprint for a lot of the tropes we see in horror today.

  Super campy ridiculousness with really fun scares and practical effects. Lots of genuinely funny bits too. A classic alien horror story. Shawnee Smith is awesome. I enjoyed it.
