Stylish, sexy, erotic, dangerous, picturesque, devious...and overall pretty empty and pointless. The big themes of social climbing and manipulation have been done better before with more finesse and nuance in other films. Also, the script is pretty weak across the board. Still, the style, along with some truly batshit moments - seriously, some of this movie, especially that third act, was so freaking bananas, goddamn - were enough to keep me invested. M: Rosamund Pike
K: Duncan the Butler (seriously, what a buzzkill!)
