  Extremely unlikeable lead, very shoddy pacing, really undeserved fates for the only two good characters...I guess I don't get the hype this movie gets? At best it's gorgeous and the body horror is neat, at worst it's a very disjointed movie that doesn't know what it wants (the main character literally switches motivations faster than you can say "bad movie!")

  Some notes:

  - I will always eat nonlinear storytelling
  - This movie had some fuckass song choices. I maintain my position of clowning on every Love Hurts that isn't by the Everly Brothers
  - I will always be Kyle Gallner's #1 dickrider, but godDAMN Willa Fitzgerald is phenomenal in this. Probably my favorite "final girl" in recent memory, if we can even consider her that. Her final scene was so poignant and shows how phenomenal of an actor she is…
