Sing Sing 2023
Wow. I cannot recommend this movie enough. The arcs that each character goes through is a step past what you would expect, and the chemistry between everyone is deeply impressive. The fact that so many of the actors play themselves in this movie speaks to the incredible power of the RTA program. The prison system and it’s inequalities are something I think about often, and I hope that rehabilitation programs like this continue to gain popularity nationwide. The absolute beauty of this movie is incredible, from the acting to the composition of each shot. What a movie.

Recommended to me by my dad. It was a creative premise, but I thought the ending was a little drawn out. I caught on to the initial twist pretty quick which I was pretty proud of, but I was very skittish as the violence. Overall I enjoyed it, and thought it was a great movie to start a conversation on AI and relationships with technology.

This movie made me physically cringe too many times for me to give it more than a two. I’m generally not a huge fan of romance, and this movie did nothing to aid the genre’s cause. I feel bad for the dad and hope Bella can learn to love herself without being attached to a man.
