I had no idea this movie existed until today the marketing for this was not very good. There were some interesting things like that they changed the setting to being during WWII. There were a lot of lore inconsistencies between this movie and the first. It also felt like it relied on jump scares a lot more. The Woman in Black 2012
One of my favorite historically based horror films. The sets are perfectly designed, the wardrobe is historically accurate and well made, the writing fits Victorian horror writing conventions. The cast are all strong actors. It's creepy in a way that's hard to place and doesn't rely on jump scares.
