  The good stuff: Vartolomei, the costumes and the landscapes. Not a fan of the heavy handed directing style of La Patelliere et al. and the very dramatic music. But way than The Three Musketeers by far.

  Great performances from the two lead actresses and beautifully directed. But I was left hungry for more character development and suspens - I felt that some of the plot points were a bit on the nose.

  I Saw the TV Glow 2024

  Compelling first movie. I saw the TV Glow is both a tribute to Cronenberg movies, Lynch imagination and  Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Loved how the director dealt with nascent desires and baby queers obsessing over TV series.  But the acting was a tad stiff to fully immerse myself and I had some issues with the protagonist being a bit one note.
