  undoubtedly this movie shaped my teenagehood, I remember it being romantic and dark and life changing. 

  on a second, older watch, it loses a bit of its charm. reminds me of when my film TA said being a film major ruins watching films for you. I loved this film and wanted to love it again, but it falls a bit flat and too direct as I look at it from a mature lens. still a great piece of work and amazing acting performances.

  Timothee Chalamet broods for over 2 hours in sunglasses. Monica Barbaro is so Chelsea Hotel folk chic. Johnny Cash comes in and saves the day with only 10 minutes of screen time. 

  A fun watch but definitely over hyped. I’ll be damned if Timothee wins an Oscar for this over Adrien Brody (and will blame it on the AI controversy).
