  wow…no film before this has ever described my inner world so precisely. and everything about this film is mesmerizing: the atmosphere, the richness of the red color, the distinct personality of the main character, and those dialogues.

Gilles’ poetic, dreamlike visuals mirror François’s fractured psyche, as he drifts through a world that feels alien. the melancholic score with songs by Jean-Pierre Stora, reflects the emotional weight of his inner struggle, while dialogue and a desaturated palette deepen the sense of loneliness  and the emptiness of returning to a familiar, yet distant world.
