  SRV is talented. Manages to bring out strong emotions. However, I think it is a missed opportunity to develop those strong emotions fully as the viewer (at least me) gets distracted by the ‘extreme’ violence and masochism as opposed to diving deeper into characters, their minds, and relationships.
