WOW.
How had I never heard of this before...
I had the pleasure of watching this one tonight with some friends for our movie night, and good god; what a insanely thrilling movie.
The way Jee-woon's character perfectly encapsulates the rage, and anguish you could only imagine feeling losing your loved one to such a animalistic person.
Not to be overshadowed by Choi Min-sik's exceptional performance either.The achilles tendon scene with replay rent-free in my head for weeks.

Unfortunately, this movie falls so flat.
It's feels like an incrediblely dull, overhyped "artsy" movie. That end; awful.
Spiders were totally unnecessary, the plot was super vague, it was honestly disappointing. I just hate it when vague imagery is posed as some profound metaphor, and I hate even worse waiting for said imagery to make actual sense to the plot only to be left at the end thinking "seriously?"

Hellboy: The Crooked Man 2024
As much as it's easy to point out some obvious flaws with this movie, I think it's better to speak on the positives.
It's a faithful adaptation of the comic run of the same name. It holds it's own extremely well in that aspect. A lot of dialogue, and scenes taken almost directly from the source material which is nice to see.
The overall pacing of the movie wasn't horrible either, it did a relatively good job of sticking to…
