  Movies used to look like movies. Deep shadows, faces half lit by sodium street lights, the edges of a person running paranoid. This movie shows what it's about: people coming in and out of darkness, to either bring out, or hide, the truth.

  Funnily enough this is one of Yorgos's most normal movie. Saying it's gothic Barbie is too reductive but it's equally if not even more hilarious, optimistic, and important. Except it also adds the scary darkness of inequality that real life has (and a lot of sex). It's based off the book with the same name by Scottish writer Alisdair Gray who sadly passed away before he could see this adaptation.

  Substantially one of the better horror movies of this year. The terrifying prospect of youth stealing from the aged. And the things you do to your body to prevent it.

  The ending gets too absurd for my taste but it does have extreme style points regardless of the substance.
