The First Slam Dunk 2022
Not only is this a wonderful and fun sports underdog movie, it's a devastating story about loss that made me ugly cry in the theater.
As for the animation, a lot is said about things like the spider-verse movies, but this I think was the first time I was so stunned by CG animation because it they made it look easy. The movement and lines are so light and effortless looking that you don't even think about the absolutely astronomical level of effort that must have gone into making this. I'd KILL for a making of documentary.
