  Grave of the Fireflies was at the same time one of the most terrifying and one of the most beautiful movies I have watched. What a profound depiction of such a fantastic relationship! 
  I felt very privileged after this was over. Like I really wanted to be able to do something about it all. However, what unfolded in the movie I’ll never be able to do something about, and there’s a real part of me that actually hurts a bit by that. I think that stands as a proof of how great this filmmaking is.

  Robert Eggers is a master in making films that are historical and mythical at the same time. I enjoyed the story and execution very much. My criticism is that there didn’t seem to be artistic depth beneath the narrative, but that didn’t make the diving into the Nordic mythology any less enjoyable.
