it could’ve been gayer but I think it's pretty perfect the way it is right now. this storyline was necessary and especially so for its time. ecstatic about the relatively respectful way they handled culture and sexuality with the portrayal of approaching things differently but ending up content (Jess vs. Pinky, Jess vs. Tony, Jess vs. her dad, etc.). the things Jess' dad said really hit.
