So elodie doesn't have an evil stepmother, elodie's dad basically sold her for gold, elodie was sacrificed, elodie and the dragon had a girl to girl fight, they fought it out, now they are pals and now elodie is a dragon queen.
The only aspect the film gave me that contributed to elodie's character as a bad ass princess who will survive this was her opening scene of chopping wood. That was it.- Netflix
