The Farewell 2019
I watched this movie and Past Lives on a long flight (trauma p*rn) time I guess, and this movie is what Past Lives wishes it was. The filmography was gorgeous and didn’t try to give China the “Crazy Rich Asians” treatment. Almost every family member had a dynamic personality except Awkwafina though. I just don’t think she’s good enough of an actor to silently play out big emotions. The cousin had me cracking up and Nai Nai was so charming…
