The first thing that stood out to me about this movie was the cinematography. It is absolutely beautiful and makes you feel like you are a chair or window watching ladybird’s senior year unfold. It really immerses you into the film without giving too much sympathy to any one character or plot point. No Country for Old Men 2007
Besides making the most of the plot, the focus on the different characters varies so much that it’s impossible to tell who the main character is (which is a good thing). Puts you in the shoes of Anton also when plot points are given little significance with cinematography and stuff. Overall, this movie keeps you on the edge of your seat, super interesting to see how they modify the classic western/fugitive trope.
