i appreciate pasifika representation in film, i appreciate that this will connect with a lot of people
but maybe a little bit cringe? it felt like it was pushing this film to be really important and really moving by making every bit of script a bite-size motivational speech, every conflict was this dramatised yelling scene, fight scene, crying scene, or a whole bunch of swearing to force intensity. every brown struggle strung together even when it maybe overcomplicated the…
