Wasn’t bad, wasn’t memorable. I’m sure I’ll never watch it again but I’m not mad at this film. There weren’t particularly emotion moments that made me bond with the film, and sometimes the elaborate fantasy cgi just took me out of enjoying the story as much. I miss practical effects even though I know it’s 2024 and films can’t give me everything I want. Timothy’s younger Wonka character was charming but didn’t pull through to the character I hoped for…

If Julia Roberts says stop, YOU STOP… But instead he continues to touch her without her consent for the rest of the film.
Terrible writing, I hate to see a traumatized abuse victim character taking rebound with another male character that doesn’t respect her boundaries, and see it be romanticized. After everything she’s been through, this character just deserves better.
