I haven’t looked into, but it’s clear there were too many cooks in the kitchen with this one. I loved everything it was saying, and on paper this story in Bong Joon Ho’s hand should’ve been gold… but the way it went about things was confused, unfunny, and a bit flat.

A fever dream of a drama, once I settled into its insane pacing and breakneck editing I didn’t want it to end. Midway through I found myself not necessarily paying attention to what was happening, but instead feeling what the film was exuding. Michael Mann is an affective genius and a pure cinematic beast.
