They should’ve stopped at Paddington 2.
Paddington in Peru lacks the whimsy and charm of its predecessors. The plot is predictable and poorly paced, focusing toward action, rather than the character-driven moments that made the earlier films so special.
The attempt to explore Peru’s culture also feels superficial, with little integration into the plot. As compared to Paddington’s earlier exploration of British culture and colloquialisms.
Ultimately, it’s a decent watch with children, but doesn’t live up to magic of earlier Paddington movies.
