It felt like I was watching a really good film and a really bad film at the same time. How this possible?

Feels like a commercials director made a feature film. It looks fine but it’s not interesting and it’s not scary.

Starts strong (ish) but looses it pretty quickly and never gains it back.

Apart from the lead who deserves better than this, the acting is not convincing at all especially from the temu mean girls.

This could be entertaining with friends and a drinking game (alcohol will make this better) but it’s definitely forgettable even without the booze.

The actual story/interview is way better. Felt like I was watching an episode of some mid week/mid tier BBC or ITV drama that you watch because you can’t be bothered to look for something better to watch. Not because finding something better to watch would be difficult (because it wouldn’t) but simply because you can’t be bothered.

Also the cinematography is distracting. Why so much haze? So unnecessary.

The acting was good, they did a great job with such a sub par script and uninspiring direction.

    A very forgettable film.

Would love to see David Dastmalchian in more lead roles as he was great in this.

Loved the look, feel and approach. That being said, there were a lot of plot holes and without them, this would have been a stronger film.

Despite its faults, the film feels refreshing in a day and age where we’re just recycling the same stories, themes and styles etc.

Was it scary? Not really but that’s not a bad thing. The film lingers with…
