I haven't seen many of Clint Eastwood's films, however I love both Sean Penn and Kevin Bacon and Mystic River is a film I've been meaning to watch for about 10 years.

The plot centres around the murder of a teenage girl that reconnects three friends that have drifted since their kinship as children.

    The Ballad of Buster Scruggs

    ★★★★

Six vignettes being turned over like pages in a book, literally, with one key commonality - a stunning scenic backdrop of the Wild West.

Beginning with the titular tale of 'Buster Scruggs', an exceptionally acted sharp-shooting cowboy who is as renowned for his aim as he is for his singing voice, this film is 2 hours and 15 minutes of unpredictable delight. The Coens' craft is on full display - these characters are captivating, the screenplay is engaging and the cinematography is second to none.

I loved it from beginning to end.

I am a sucker for a non-liner narrative and interesting scene transitions, so…
