  I’ve been waiting for this film for a while after learning snippets of Lee Miller's life and that it has been in the making for around 8 years! and it really doesn’t disappoint. A biopic focusing on part of Miller’s truly  extraordinary life, Winslet is on top form and all actors were aptly picked for their roles and no one faltered.  There are layers to the story with some nuanced moments that hint at darker and deeper things (in reality…

  Entitled Noise..the protagonist was mildly perturbed by his baby crying and some rattling pipes. The biggest mystery about this mystery film is the wife running a catering company but making no food...cakes..dips..or even a vol-au-vent.

  A beautifully touching story that although seems to have a simple premise layers of emotion and revelation are brought to our attention as the story unfolds. The difference and similarities between the Icelandic and Japanese culture were intriguing and the after effects for years to come of the Hiroshima bomb was eye opening.  Oscar worthy surely?!
