Look Who's Back 2015
Rewatching this in 2024, the warning this movie is trying to be hurts even more.
The movie itself tries to imitate Hitler's actual rise to power (usually successfully) and the cultural zeitgeist about portraying Hitler (sometimes unsuccessfully) is admirable. However, the movie can get quite boring at times and you wish they leaned more into the "Borat"-aspect of talking to non-actors.
All in all, good watch.

thought for years that I made this movie up as a kid. finding out that this batshit, insane, screenplay-written-by-ai, torture "family film" with a cameo from Harambe wasn't a fever dream was like finding out I wasn't imagining the rise of fascism in contemporary democracies.
good to know that i'm not loopy, sad and concerning to know it's all real.
