Jack Quaid makes a great villain. He plays the douchebag role oh so very well.
I found it unnecessary to add Iris’ monologue to the beginning only to do a full wraparound of the same monologue at the climax. The “spoiler” you’re given at the beginning is only detrimental to the audience’s experience.
All-in-all, I’m a huge sucker for AI Sci-Fi flicks, when done well… and this was definitely done well. It was super tight and didn’t try to latch onto any segments, which could have easily slogged the film immensely.

I really wish I could have enjoyed this as much as everyone else apparently did. The lead's acting just fell so short. He created a role that required a lot of range, only to cast himself. Then it seems he only has one switch in him that goes from yelling to talking woodenly.
Overzealous in all of his actions yet still coming off two dimensional... It's almost like yelling at everyone on screen doesn't change how flat of a character…

Excellent vampire movie with a unique and twisted romance plotline.
That ending leaves you with so much to ponder in terms of their relationship dynamics and future together. Also, that was a killer score. Absolutely magical.
