Only an amazing actress like Fernanda Torres could portray an amazing woman such as Eunice Paiva. This movie is unique because it depicts not what resistance looks like, but rather what it feels like. Sadly, a feeling that starts to become familiar again.

Gorgeous example of how love and grief are intertwined. Almodóvar finds a balance between hope and realism, successfully transfers his aesthetics and humor into an American setting, nods to great cinematic references, and gives me an overwhelming urge to put a red lipstick on.
