Adolescence 2025
Very conflicted about this. I have always had a soft spot for kitchen sink cinema, and British film reflecting real-world working-class life. I Saw the TV Glow 2024
The worst reaction a film could get is dead silence. That is exactly what happened when I saw this in the cinema.

Elephant 1989
I like what Elephant represents, but the delivery is just not my style. I get it’s not a film you are supposed to enjoy, or even find entertaining, but I have resonated so much better with other bleak films in the past that have more to sink your teeth into. Maybe if I was a bit more invested in the history of the Troubles, the film would get to me a bit more but it just doesn’t. I almost got Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer vibes from this, but I definitely found that to be a more engaging watch than Elephant.
