  every time i watch this movie im reminded of my own childhood.

  this is a beautiful expression of poor, at risk kids growing up and finding the beauty in their surroundings as they live their lives in a sort of blissful ignorance.

  when you grow up like this, you don’t think of yourself as poor, because it’s just how your life has always been. you have no worries or responsibility or understanding of what your parents worry about like bills…

  this movie beautifully portrays womanhood and manhood. the way we coexist, the struggles we put onto each other, and the way we love each other.
