Mostly every scene throughout the film has a lot of suppressed tension. Almost uncomfortable to watch.
Like the classic cop films, where one is the wise mentor, who has already experienced a lot and the other is impulsive, impatient, & kind of naive. The narrative grows along with the tension, and the ending catches you well. The transformation of Brad Pitt's character before his desensitisation of violence.
A film that’s definitely in my top 10 movies of all time.As much as I admire this film, i just absolutely hate watching it and the experience every time makes me feel so heavy on the inside.
