I'm still in the twilight of this film and it's magic. So please forgive if I trouble you with a whimsical but Lofty prelude...
A tale of finality between entropy and love. It dives right into the murky barrel and pits my favourite two caricatures together; The genius-level destroyed nihilist & the altruistic but seemingly pseudo-reformed believer. Maybe this is one personality... Maybe this is Paul Bettany.

I suppose we are all outcasts in one way or another. Outcasts who must fight for their place amongst both the bright lights of human dwellings and those of our ancestors. Although, much of this story is consumed with the fight for the rights of the much too easily targeted scape-dog; the victories that mattered most aren't the ones consumed…

I saw this more than 5 years ago.
Give me a good chuckle to think this was the John Travolta's breakout role.
The characters, the scene setups and transitions had a notable ominous quality and allowed the play of ordinary space to create mystery.
Carrie's moral descent chains you to her in every way, so as she ascends in the final Act you can't help but want the destruction that ensues. Powerful directing of that story.
It has it's moments…
