  A few things didn’t hold up over time, but this is a very solid horror movie. Certainly one of the best and scariest PG-13 ones. 

  Love the cast, direction, and scares at play here. So much of this shaped my 11 year old view of horror.

  The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes 2023

  It was good! So cool to spend time in this world again and hear a lot of familiar music from James Newton Howard. His HG score is wildly underrated. 

  Having read the book, it was apparent they really flew through this. That book is so dense and, in return, makes the movie feel way too rushed. There’s hardly a moment to pause and feel anything. Sadly, it does the movie a huge disservice. 

  Outside of that, it’s extremely well cast…
