This is a perplexing movie. While there seems to be a lot to unpack, I'm sure the meat of it can be encapsulated in a simple idea. I have no desire to read into any interpretation or review, hoping that after a rewatch or two I can come to my own conclusions, unfettered by redditors on the bandwagon (last piece to result in a similar reaction for me was Serial Experiments Lain, which I have yet to return to).
