This movie had so many provocative ideas about the value of life, both human and creeper, that I found the Trump stuff a little distracting and on-the-nose. It would’ve been enough commentary on our current situation without Ruffalo’s thinly veiled impression. Maybe it’s just because the movie was made during a time no one thought he’d be back in office, and now we can’t escape him.
That said, Bong Joon-Ho remains a master storyteller, and I love that he’s making…
