This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Very very very torn. On another day I would have given this a 2 stars, and on another third day I might have got a little more into it. Definitely requires a rewatch.

On the Silver Globe 1988
No other mind would have been capable of creating this film. Poetry, sci-fi, horror. Not a boring scene, not a visually boring frame. Accomplishes the under-appreciated task of making an almost 3 hour runtime seem almost brief.
The fact that this film was never finished only adds to its allure. This way, the audience will always be able to imagine ways that Żuławski would have been able to further create mesmerising, terrifying, and genre-bending scenery had he had the opportunity to do so.
My first and possibly last review on letterboxd, and deservedly so.
