  I hate the haters of this. Is there a 9/11 reference in the first 10 seconds? You betcha. Are the fat jokes tasteless? Sure. Should Chiwetel Ejiofor’s best friend be thrown in horny jail? As the Brits say, “defo.”

  But there’s a real optimism about love here. Love can be found in Milwaukee! In a psych ward! In the halls of your dead wife’s son’s school!

  I love Love, actually. They say “cock-up” many times! Karl’s tan is outrageously golden!…

  The 70s were a simpler time. Hostages answered landlines. You could get pizza at a bank robbery. Men had multiple wives. Wyoming was a country. New Yorkers spoke like New Yorkers. The cops were pigs. Trans surgery was really expensive. Graphic design was at its peak. All clothes were flared. You know what, the 70s were a lot like today.
