such a christmas classic, and warms my heart to no end. watched this with my mother and it is so beautifully put together. i do love a typical plot with a "well learnt lesson". call it boring, i call it comforting. it is sweet, innocent and delightfully honest.

i restumbled upon this film after having watched it for the first time in 2021, and i am still absolutely struck by tim roth. the whole premise of the movie is generally weak, poorly written and at times unmoving, but i unironically enjoyed it as much as i did the first time.
and just the general flashback to peak 90's london never fails to melt my heart. reminds me of how i remember seeing london as a child.
