  There are so many self-centered men in this film, men who spend the time taking up space in rooms, discussing poetry, mouthing big words like "dipsomania" (while refusing to help a secretary seeking treatment for her alcoholic father). Acting confident, making promises, arguing about shared love interests.

  Meanwhile, at the end of the corridor, there are some lonely, hurt women, who won't be helped by them because, for all their talk, the men they are surrounded by really don't see…
