I watched this at a friend’s house. Very interesting movie - it’s camp. Strays from the typical victim/groomer narrative; may be a hard watch for some. The music is totally over the top. Natalie Portman and Julianne Moore are great together.

Streamed this at home. Plot was a bit disjointed but that’s likely due to it being based on a play. Beautiful cast of background characters. Transportive. The idea of a 9 year old wise guy is hilarious despite those mobsters being #groomers. Makes me want to buy a gold crucifix necklace.

I saw this at an AMC. My male companions thought it was boring, but I actually thought it was compelling. Aesthetically the movie is very rich and the sound track is good. I liked the plot lines and themes; subcultures attract a dark side, too much of a good time can kill you, you can’t fake cool, and most importantly stubborn love endures.

Watched this at home; my husband had never seen it before. The movie is still funny and holds up well. Great cast. Do they still make high school coming of age comedies?
