It is the first movie that finish in a while. I’ve heard about this movie from the criterion channel but I didn’t know I was going to like it this much. With Wu Tang Clan influencing it, I knew it was going to be good. Forest knocks it out of the park as always. He always embodies the character he plays. I love the atmosphere of the grain surrounding the story. The violence is brutal and often times clean. It is a hidden gem and a perfect late night watch.

Corpus Christi 2019
That last scene with the jail fight was one big heart attack. The performances were great, but the one who shines the most is the main character. The world he lives in and the lies he tells. The subplot with the car crash definitely pushes the main plot forward. I hope more people see this.
