Moonlight 2016
there are at least 5 perfect performances in this. the score might be better described by physical gestures than words - it's that evocative. and the story is so tender without ever sacrificing its reality, so transcendent without sacrificing its specificity. for this film to exist alone is a miracle. pairs extremely well with a good cry on the walk home.
