  Die Hard 1988

  I would love it if someone could crack the code on what makes me like or dislike movies. I, myself, couldn’t tell you. Specifically when it comes to action movies or horror, it’s like I subconsciously flip a coin to decide if I’ll like it or not. Silence of the Lambs is a prime example. I love that movie, in all it’s cannibal creepiness. Maybe because it’s the 90s? I don’t know. And though I can’t tell you why, I now hold the opinion that Die Hard is a great film. Very well written, very entertaining. Very 1988. And, yeah, it’s a Christmas movie.

  There were so many bad things happening here but the thing that annoyed me the most was Aang’s mouth never being closed. He walked around with it gaping open and I couldn’t take it seriously. In theatre, the actors on stage are constantly being told to keep their mouths shut unless talking/reacting to something. If you’re just going about your business, your lips should usually be closed. I’d assume the same principal applies in film. But no, Ahhng’s mouth was…

  Was the moral of this movie that cheating to win the hockey game so that your not-girlfriend’s dad can keep his job is okay and good and should be rewarded? Because that’s what I got out of it. I’m a big fan of Disney's 90s original movies but this was not it.

  What an incredible adventure. Fraggle world still intrigues me. The fact that there is a trash heap as a character who is the one they go to for wisdom and advice? Genius. We love Marj.

   I’ve always liked the beds the fraggles sleep in and how cool their living space is. Gobo was and still is my favorite. And can we just talk about the pure poetry that Uncle Traveling Matt’s postcards are? Wow that man can really draw intriguing…
