Miss Congeniality 2000
Pageants, under cover agents, and Sandra Bullock… what more can you ask for? Although some of the humor is a bit dated… I enjoy a fun girl power movie. especially one where watching the women bond and lift each other up makes you reminisce about a nostalgic moment in girlhood.

Shrek 2 2004
A beautiful companion piece to shrek 1. Fiona and shrek falling in love in the first one, showing Fiona’s true form as an ogre is sweet in defining who your true self really is. But in shrek 2, shrek shows his own love for his wife by showing that even though he heavily identifies with his identity as an ogre (loves being an ogre actually) he is willing to sacrifice that to be with the one he loves. A twist in fairy tale retellings that created its own unique charm in the world they built in far far away!

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules 2011
Rodrick Rules could be a stand alone movie amongst the diary of a wimpy kid series as alone it creates a story telling device between two brothers growing up in the same household learning to become brothers and find out what family means to them. Devon Bostick and Zachary Gordon do an amazing job as depicting this growth all while being hilariously light and fun
