  moving forward at a languid dream-like pace, this series is a masterclass in adaptation (and is actually even gayer than the book thank god for Jeremy Irons and his deep longing gazes), it fully captures the complex themes from the book without overexplaining or replacing actions with exposition (unlike the disastrous 2008 adaptation).

  everything about it is lovingly crafted, and our two main leads are absolutely electric and heartbreakingly tragic together.

  So fucking buckwild I cannot fathom what I've just watched, it's a romp and a half, but also an extreme mess and ridiculously heteronormative, and everyone at Disney is a fucking coward for giving Poe Dameron a weird love interest just to establish that he is straight.
