  If I had a nickel for every time Disney killed and resurrected a character in the sequel as a god I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it sure is strange that it happened twice in five years.

  Wish met my expectations. Taking into consideration that this was my most anticipated movie this year those expectations were high. Some rough pacing issues but fun characters, quality songs, and nice story really brought this all together. The 2d 3d animation didn’t work for me all the time but when it worked well it worked REALLY well. This feels like it’s this generations Atlantis or Treasure Planet. Disney adults are going to turn their noses up at it but it’s going to hit hard with a lot of the younger generation of Disney fans and I can appreciate that.

  Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2016

  This is half of a good film. 
  I firmly believe that someone wrote this good fun adventure of Newt and his friends romping through New York and capturing Fantastic Beasts. Then suddenly a studio executive burst into the writing room and said “we can’t have a fun standalone film! This needs to be a franchise!” So they threw in all this Grindewald and Creedance stuff that turns the movie into an unbearable slog. Worth watching for the Newt adventure. Not worth revisiting because of the shoehorned sequel bait. But there are mooncalfs in the movie so hard to hate on this one.
